The Houston Botanic Garden’s Bayou Blues Festival, presented by BKV Energy, is back for 2025. Join us on Sunday, March 9, near the banks of Sims Bayou during bluebonnet season, for an afternoon of soulful, roots music, curated by Houston’s own Annika Chambers.
Festival Lineup:
In addition to jamming to five hours of live music, attendees can snap photos in front of the Garden’s bluebonnet field, also sponsored by BKV Energy; enjoy the Family Fun Zone, with bluebonnet-themed crafts, games, face painting, and more; shop a festive market featuring local vendors and plants from the Garden; and browse information stations staffed by select nonprofit organizations. Access to the entire Garden, including the “Habitat” exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, is also part of the Bayou Blues experience. Concessions, including adult beverages, will be available for purchase; outside food and drink are prohibited.
Festival tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors 65+, active military, students, and children age 3 and older. Garden members can use the general admission benefit(s) associated with their level of membership toward the cost of a festival ticket(s).
NOTE: Bring your own lawn/camp chair(s). General seating is first-come, first-served.
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine.
