Support the Garden
There are so many ways you can help the Houston Botanic Garden grow. Annual fund donations, our membership program, fundraising events, sponsorships, and foundation grants and corporate support provide half of the Garden’s funding. We encourage you to learn more about and select the opportunities to the support the Garden that work best for you.
Make a Donation
Gifts of all sizes to the Annual Fund help maintain and grow the Garden as a place for discovery, celebration, and connection.
A donation to the Garden in any season, and for any reason, will make a difference. For instance, your Annual Fund gift could be used to make an immediate impact in one of the following areas:
- Produce informative plant signs in a display bed
- Purchase Community Garden tools and seeds
- Seed wildflowers in natural areas
- Change out seasonal displays throughout the Garden
- Create nature play climbing elements in Susan Garver Family Discovery Garden

Make a Recurring Gift
Your recurring gift – whether it’s monthly, quarterly, or on whatever schedule you prefer – directly supports the Garden’s mission to enrich lives through discovery, education, and the conservation of plants and the natural environment. Make a Tribute Gift
Consider making a gift to the Houston Botanic Garden in honor of the people in your life for their birthday; wedding anniversary; the birth of a baby or grandchild; or just to show you care. We also receive beautiful gifts made in memory of a loved one or friend. Tribute gifts of all sizes are a kind, thoughtful, and generous way to remember or celebrate someone while contributing to a botanic garden that benefits our community.
Make a Legacy Gift
Planned gifts—in which individuals include the Garden as a beneficiary in their wills or estate plans—are essential to providing the long-term financial support needed to sustain the Houston Botanic Garden. These gifts help to fund our educational and community outreach programs, maintain the highest professional horticulture standards, and bring delight and beauty to the lives of all who visit.
Donate a Membership
Donated memberships give access to individuals or families who might not otherwise be in a position to visit the Garden. Recipients of donated memberships receive the same unlimited general admission—and opportunities to discover, learn, and connect that come along with it—as those who purchase memberships for themselves. A donation of membership—at any level—is 100% tax-deductible and will help make the Houston Botanic Garden an amazing place where everyone can participate.
