“Kokedama” is a creative botanical technique that involves growing plants in a ball of soil covered in moss. The craft reflects the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, the art of appreciating beauty in the world’s natural imperfection.
During this mindful workshop we will honor the element of earth, create beautiful plant art, and discuss sustainable practices for our planet’s conservation.
Non-member fee of $45 includes general admission to the Garden and a complimentary gift bag with samples of sustainable home goods to kick start or enhance their eco-conscious journey. Members receive a $10 discount. Supplies and refreshments are included in the cost of the class.
