Discover tranquility through this restorative experience—a gentle practice dedicated to slowing down, breathing deeply, releasing accumulated tension. This session supports your nervous system and promotes deep relaxation while the soothing overtones of a sound bath guide you into a meditative state, helping release stored emotions and clear energetic blockages. New for this session, guest vocalist Cristina Amaro will perform three songs designed to guide participants even deeper into peace and release.

Restorative Yoga & Sound Bath is perfect for everyone, especially those who find it challenging to quiet their busy minds.

Instructor Bio: Jessica Garcia of Chandra Yoga is a compassionate soul who embodies strength, warmth, and unwavering love. As a powerful space holder, she creates an environment where healing can unfold naturally and effortlessly. Channeling divine energy, she brings profound transformation to those around her, offering guidance, comfort, and deep emotional support. Her presence is a sanctuary of peace, and her ability to connect with others on a soulful level inspires growth, healing, and awakening. Through her nurturing energy, she helps others step into their fullest potential, while maintaining a grounded, loving essence. Jessica is a native Houstonian and has been teaching yoga for 15 years. 

Skill level: All skill levels welcome. 

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat
  • Yoga bolster
  • 2 medium-sized, non-slip blankets (not too thick)
  • 2 blocks (optional)
  • Light sweater or jacket
  • Socks
  • Eye pillow
  • Water bottle with lid

*We will have a limited supply of bolsters, blocks, and blankets to borrow.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. 

What to Expect – Please allow yourself at least 20 minutes to arrive and situate yourself at the Garden. The Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking. Upon arrival, please show your electronic ticket to the entrance attendant. The restrooms are located in the Welcome Pavilion, past the Garden Shop, close to the entrance. We will meet in the Global Collection Garden Tent, an air-conditioned space overlooking the garden, several minutes’ walk from the entrance.
