The Houston Botanic Garden presents Beyond Bouquets, a spring festival honoring mothers and other special people in our lives who nurture, guide, and provide care. Join us on Sunday, May 11, for a day of exploration and discovery in the Garden, with live music from Yelba’s Variety Band from 10-11 a.m. and again from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
In addition, attendees can enjoy a Family Fun Zone, including “Mommy and me” crafts; shop a festive market featuring local artists and vendors; buy selected plants from the Garden and ask plant questions of our horticulture experts; and snap plenty of beautiful photos against lush natural backdrops and curated photo op stations. Access to the entire Garden — including the new exhibition Rich Soil by artist Kristine Mays and the “Habitat” exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service — is also part of the Beyond Bouquets experience.
Concessions, including adult beverages, will be available for purchase; outside food and drink are prohibited.
Festival tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors 65+, active military, students, and children age 3 and older. Garden members can use the general admission benefit(s) associated with their level of membership toward the cost of a festival ticket(s).
NOTE: Bring your own lawn/camp chair(s). General seating for Yelba’s Variety Band’s performance is first-come, first-served.
Take the Beyond Bouquets experience to the next level by treating the family to a delicious brunch from Hungry’s, served in the climate-controlled Global Collection Tent from 9:30-10:30 a.m. $75 brunch tickets — which must be purchased in advance — include festival admission, plus two gifts (a branded commemorative cup and a small potted plant) to take home. Garden members receive a $20 discount.
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine.
