DIY Botanical Pumpkins

In this family-friendly workshop, transform pumpkins into one-of-a-kind works of art using pressed flowers, leaves, and other botanical treasures. Layer vibrant natural materials, experiment with patterns, and create a pumpkin that’s anything but ordinary. Along the way, you’ll discover creative ways to work with pressed flowers and foliage and leave with a beautiful, display-ready creation. No artistic experience needed. This experience is easy to enjoy together, whether you’re creating side by side, helping younger artists, or designing your own masterpiece. A little messy, a lot creative, and plenty of fun!

Registration is flexible for families and groups. Everyone will need admission to enter the Garden (free for members), and $20 pumpkin kits can be added based on how many people would like to decorate and take home their own creation. Whether you’re crafting as a family or making a pumpkin of your own, it’s a fun and easy activity for all ages.

Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events. Programs are held rain or shine.
