DIY Botanical Pumpkins

Get ready for a hands-on fall favorite where creativity blooms! In this family-friendly workshop, transform pumpkins into one-of-a-kind works of art, using pressed flowers, leaves, and a little bit of Mod Podge magic. Layer vibrant botanicals, experiment with patterns, and design a pumpkin that’s anything but ordinary. Along the way, you’ll pick up simple techniques for working with natural materials and leave with a beautiful, display-ready creation. Perfect for all skill levels. Potentially a little messy, and a whole lot of fun!

First, everyone in your family or group will need a general admission ticket to the Garden, which is $12 per adult, $8 per child/student/senior/active military. Garden members may use the general admission benefit(s) associated with their membership to get into the Garden at no additional charge [although a pumpkin decorating kit(s) will need to be purchased at the same price as for non-members].

Then, add on a pumpkin decorating kit(s), at $20 each, based on how many members of your family or group want to decorate their own to take home.

Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine.
