DIY Scarecrows

Bring the entire family and learn how to craft your very own scarecrow for fall decorating. The Garden will provide bamboo stakes, filling, and miscellaneous art materials. Participants should bring child-size clothing (size 6-10), decorations, and anything else they want to use to customize their scarecrow.

One $20 event ticket gets you and/or your family materials to make one scarecrow. Additional family members just need a general admission ticket — $15/adult, $10/child/student on Saturday — to tag along to help. Members can make a scarecrow for just $10.

Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
