Garden-To-Go

Bring the family to the Garden-To-Go event and fill your pot with seasonal color. The Garden has hundreds of baby plants* looking for a new home on your porch or patio, where they will provide you with beautiful color all season long.

To participate in this come-and-go event, bring your own 10-12 inch pot, or purchase one from us ($30 per pot for non-members, $20 per pot for members), and then plant it with thrillers, fillers, and spillers for a cool weather seasonal display.

Examples of plants available for the taking:

• Thrillers – Snapdragon & Kale
• Fillers – Dianthus & Calendula
• Spillers – Alyssum & Viola

While they are here, families will have the opportunity to decorate their pot, plant their garden, and enjoy a stroll around the beautiful Susan Garver Family Discovery Garden, where we will have scavenger hunts and yard games available.

*Take home plants will be very small and are intended to grow into the pot over a few weeks.

One $20 event ticket gets you and/or your family one take-home garden in your own pot (additional fee — $30 for non-members, $20 for members — applies for those who do not bring their own pot). Additional family members just need a general admission ticket — $15/adult, $10/child/student on Saturday — to tag along to help. Members can get a take-home garden in their own pot for just $10.
