The Houston Botanic Garden invites Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors & Brownies to come create art in the Garden with others from the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. In this workshop, girls will extract the pigments from real flowers to make beautiful art. We will talk about the pigments in plants and how they are made, as well as some of the benefits those pigments have for us. We will then use flowers to create cards and decorate a tote bag.
NOTE: This activity is appropriate for all ages, however, hammers are used to extract the pigments, so extra adult supervision is helpful.
Use the Get Tickets button to register and pay the $30 fee through the GSSJC website.
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for most events, which are held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
