Give the gift of plant knowledge this holiday season by inviting a friend or family member to the next installment in the Garden Success Series, where our Garden experts walk you through some basics of home gardening and share their favorite tools and strategies for growing and keeping yours looking its best.
Just like any other kind of plant, succulents and cacti require specific care. Garden horticulturist Cory Saul, who works with arid and native plants, will provide a crash course in succulent care and present an arrangement workshop, covering everything from soil mixing to top-dressing. Contrary to popular belief, you can kill a cactus, but, after participating in this workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence needed to keep the take-home succulent garden you will create thriving.
Non-member fee of $40 includes general admission to the Garden and a take-home succulent garden. Garden members receive a $10 discount.
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for most events, which are held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
