Join Buddhist monk Bhante Rafa as he explores the scientific principles behind mindfulness mediation. Participants will learn about its benefits for mental and physical health via an educational presentation featuring multimedia resources, followed by the opportunity to immerse themselves in a calming 30-minute meditation session designed to cultivate peace and mindfulness.
To make the most of the experience, participants should wear comfortable clothing and footwear and bring their own yoga mat and refillable water bottle.
The meditation workshop is included in the cost of general admission to the Garden, which is $10 per adult, $7.50 per child/student on Summer Saturdays during August. Garden members may use the general admission benefit(s) associated with their membership level to participate at no additional charge.
