Birding 101

During the Garden’s extended hours on Summer Saturdays, join Houston Audubon to spread your wings and soar into the world of bird identification. Participants will learn all about birds in a climate-controlled setting, and then venture outdoors to identify birds using that newfound knowledge on a stroll among the scenic spaces of the Garden.

Participants will: 

• Learn how to identify common birds of Houston 

• Learn how to use binoculars 

• Walk to view birds in the Garden and practice skills 

• Test their knowledge in a round or two of Bird Bingo 

Non-member Ticket Price: $12
Member Ticket Price: $0 (included in general admission benefit of membership level)

What to bring:

• Camera and/or binoculars (Houston Audubon will have a limited number of binoculars to borrow)
• Refillable water bottle 

What to wear:

• Comfortable, breathable clothing for summer weather
• Comfortable walking shoes
