Have you thought about converting some (or maybe all) of your yard into a native habitat to support pollinators and other wildlife? Molly Glentzer didn’t get there overnight, and she’s still working on it. During more than 30 years of gardening in Houston and Brenham, she has probably killed more plants than most people ever buy. She has learned gradually, through trial and error and through befriending many other like-minded gardeners. Along with sharing her experience, she’ll explain why growing native species is both important and practical, offer suggestions for the best ones to incorporate into your Houston area garden, and point you toward resources.
The Garden will be providing a light dinner and sparkling water, and attendees are welcome to BYOB to enjoy during the event.
Non-member Ticket Price: $40
Member Ticket Price: $30
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for this special event, which will be held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
