The Houston Botanic Garden invites Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors to come create art in the Garden with others from the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. In this hands-on workshop, girls will learn the terminology and techniques of Ikebana, also known as kadō, the traditional Japanese art of floral design, and make their own arrangement to take home. Ikebana uses lines, color, mass, form, movement, space, shape, balance, and a rich tradition of Japanese culture, religion, and symbolism to capture the perfect imperfection of nature and human emotion in floral design.
Use the Get Tickets button to register and pay the $48 fee through the GSSJC website.

Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
