As monarch butterflies make their spring migration from Mexico to their summer breeding grounds in the northern United States, the Garden celebrates their epic journey with a day dedicated to fostering appreciation and care for these incredible pollinators. During March for Monarchs, guests will complete hands-on crafts and participate in other fun activities throughout the Garden, while learning actions they can take to help protect monarchs and make their own backyards a welcoming habitat. We’ll also have a small marketplace with local vendors, including a selection of refreshments and treats for purchase.
This year, all of the March for Monarchs activities are included in the cost of general admission ($12/adult, $8/child/student/senior/military). Garden members can use the general admission benefit(s) associated with their membership level to attend at no charge.
Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for daytime events, which are held rain or shine. If you have specific questions, please email education@hbg.org.
