About the Speaker
Nicole Cloutier is a Texas Master Naturalist with the Galveston Bay Area Chapter and has been a dedicated volunteer with Texas Native Cats since 2022 (learn more at TexasNativeCats.org.). Inspired by the documentary Deep in the Heart, which highlights Texas’ iconic landscapes and wildlife, she became deeply committed to protecting the state’s native species. Nicole holds degrees in journalism from Texas A&M University and biology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She is especially passionate about endangered species, including the Texas ocelot, and also volunteers with the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research and Armand Bayou Nature Center.
